New Travel Plans

Well, we got our travel plans from the girl who is making our travel arrangements and they showed that we are now going all the way to Beijing on Nov. 25 and not staying for one night in Vancouver as we had asked for. When we talked to her she said that it is cheaper to go right through and if we were to change it would be $500.00 more per ticket so we left it as is. Then, when we realized how long we were going to be in Beijing we thought we would try and see if we could go to Adriana's city of birth and visit her orphange and foster family. Adriana was really excited when we told her that we might be able to meet her foster family. She likes the story we tell her about them giving her candy before she went to bed! So, we are now waiting to see if we will be able to go to Jiangxi for the first few days of our trip. I am going to contact Ann who has a business in China that helps you send gifts and letters to your children and to their foster families etc. She sends everything from China so, postage is not really that expensive and the parcels arrive at the orphange in a timely manner. She will also translate letters and send pictures. I will see if she can contact Adriana's foster family and arrange a visit. The letter we recieved from them really showed us how much they loved her and missed her. I hope we can arrange a meeting. We sent a parcel to Lileah through Ann and Lileah has already recieved it. We posted a picture of what we sent. The bags of candy are for her caregivers. There is also a disposable camera that we hope they will take pictures with. This way if we don't get to visit the orphange then we will be able to see some of her friends and where she spent the first 14 months of her life. It will be nice for her to have these pictures when she is older. There is also a translated letter that we sent to Lileah as well as a few pictures. Ann seems like a wonderful lady and also was able to get Lileah's recent height and weight.

She is going to be a few pounds less than Adriana was when we adpoted Adriana at 19 months. From her pictures she looks like she has long legs.
Only 25 more days until we leave for China! It is hard to believe that we are finally going after waiting for so long.
