Day 13 -The Great Wall -Part 2

Because we have three cameras the pictures are coming in two sets. This is from the other camera. This is one of the many impressive buildings in Beijing.

Here is Mike carrying Nya up what he said were incredibly steep steps. He had her in one of those backpack carriers. I had a hard enough time carrying Lileah and holding Adriana's hand and keeping her from falling down so he must have had quite a work out.

Stacey and Mason after their walk on the Great Wall. He had an exhausting time it looks like!

After our Great Walk excursion we stopped for a wonderful lunch at the Friendship Store. After lunch we went to do some shopping. We were amazed at how the prices of things had risen since we were here last. I am sure that was due to the Olympics. We just bought a few souvenirs here. We all came home happy with our day but tired. Lily bought pizza for us but as she had to go and order it and then bring it back to our room it was already 8:30 by the time we ate. Everyone devoured the pizza and then to bed. Lileah was really tired when we got home as she just had a couple of short naps on the bus so she went to sleep very early. She slept through the kufuffle of everyone visiting in the room and waiting for pizza but happened to wake up when we started eating. I think it was because the noise in the room suddenly dropped! She had a few bites with us and then was back to bed. We are off tomorrow morning to get our paper work done and then to the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. In the evening we are going to see an acrobatic show so we again will have a full day.
