Day 14 Beijing- paper work and restaurant

Today Lily took us to do our paper work. We had to take Lileah to the SOS clinic for her medical. She was in the 50th percentile for height but very low on weight. She did very well otherwise. The doctor was pleased with her development and said she is doing well. We just need to fatten up those little chicken legs of hers! After we went to the clinic we had to go to the Embassy for the other families. Debbie and I went along to see the Embassy and take some pictures. We were quite disappointed as we couldn't see a Canadian Flag anywhere. Actually the only way we could tell that it was the Canadian Embassy was by the pamphlets on the bulletin boards on the side walk outside the building. They were telling people how to apply for things and there were some Canadian flags on the the papers. Debbie tried to take a picture but it wasn't allowed. Not sure how you can get in if you needed any help with anything as there were only locked doors from what we could see.

After we were done with the Embassy Lily took us for lunch at a really interesting minority restaurant. When I say Lily took us for lunch I mean she took us and got a table for us and ordered and then she and the driver had to go to another part of the restaurant to eat as they were not allowed to eat with us. This happened yesterday at the Friendship store restaurant as well. There was entertainment at the restaurant too. After the meal there was a tea ceremony but we went to sit on the bus as Lileah was not into tea at all. She needed to have her diaper changed and a bit of a stretch. After coming having a fair bit to eat at the restaurant she devoured 2 and a half small oranges and was still bugging "Nana" for more!

Doesn't Adriana look like she is having a good time? This was shortly after she told me on the bus, " It is really hard work being a big sister!"
