Day 8 Miscellaneous pictures

This is Adriana and Nya on the plane from Nanchang. Adriana shared her Dora shows on the ipod with Nya and they were fantastic on the flight. They are really good at taking care of each other and keeping themselves amused. They have become fast friends and are now in a competition to see which is the best big sister! Here is a picture of Mason motoring around. He seems to have just learned to walk as he is a bit wobbly. He certainly knows what he wants. When we went shopping yesterday he was a real trooper and didn't cry at all during the long journey!

Here are some pictures of the grounds of Lileah's orphanage. I am glad that we gave the bulk of the money to Adriana's orphanage as they were the most needy of the two. We had about US$100.00 left after we purchased the washing machine in Nanchang. The orphanage director said they would purchase something that the orphans need but she wasn't sure what yet. Along with the money we got from the students and staff in Adriana's and my school we had a donation of $100.00 from another family, the Tatone's, who adopted their daughter, Katie the same time we adopted Adriana and we also had some money from our family members. Lileah's orphanage is much better off and well taken care of than Nanchang. There are more caregivers as well and they are all dressed up in the lovely pink uniforms. I also thought I had heard our guide say that they were all nurses.
